"I knew what I wanted to do at an early age. 

I realized that everybody I knew had a boat, and everybody needed to have it serviced. With that in mind, I enrolled at the Upper Cape Regional Technical High School and began my studies in Marine Services.

 

I'm a life long Cape Cod and Falmouth resident, and started working in Falmouth boat yards gaining my experience and eventually specializing in Yamaha outboards. Soon I was taking on a lot of side boat work and realized I had enough work to start out on my own, so  in 1992 I bought an old tool truck and turned it into a mobile work shop working out of my home and thus born "The Boat Guy". 

 

As the projects and clients got bigger and bigger, I bought my first location in Cataumet. I needed staff to help me, so why not call on your family members. My mother was the office manager and my father worked on the boats with me. My wife Jessica is our bookkeeper, my brother Mark joined our management team in 2016 and my parents still help out as needed. Our children can often be found around the boat yard and the power equipment store learning the trade while entertaining us all! The Boat Guy family has grown to dozens of valued employees that we are lucky to work with each day. We consider each employee a part of The Boat Guy team and family.

 

We continue to grow, evolving with the times. We sell and service not just boats and outboard motors but many lines of Outdoor Power Equipment. In 2015 we opened our second location on MacArthur Boulevard in Bourne offering Tidewater Boats, 3 outboard lines and many lawn and garden equipment lines. Our philosophy has always been to strive for attention to detail in all we do... sales, service, and customer satisfaction. 

I am very proud of what we do here at The Boat Guy and after 25 years of operation, I will still continue to be involved in every aspect of the business, and hope that my extended family will too."
